Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded numerous national and international distinctions. She has provided policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments from all over the world. She is also a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division, American Psychology-Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
