Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 from Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian music producer and a vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. The singer has released a number of high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and are widely loved. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering an old grand piano hidden in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only for pleasure or to aid in growing, but that she should pursue it. In order to do so she started writing her own original compositions. Alongside Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mom informed her that her music could not only help her get noticed, but also make others see their significance to the world and appreciate how they can benefit from her songs, she decided to begin playing in front of the public. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She began making music at the age of nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. The dream was never to be Aurora. The singer claims she is a fan of composing songs. To her, music is the most effective method of expressing anything.
